Un doublé pour Emie Peronnin, une première victoire pour Maxime Lauté
Grand Prix de Valcros (du 19 au 21 août)
Victorieuse la semaine dernière (en play-off face à l’Aixoise Léa Cherel) à Valgarde, Emie Peronnin a remporté la 20e édition du Grand Prix de Valcros, réalisant ainsi un remarquable doublé. Toujours tendue quand elle aborde un dernier tour en tête, la jeune Varoise a bénéficié du soutien de sa « cadette » Dominique Bonnadéi : « Elle m’a aidée à me décontracter et on a bien rigolé » reconnaissait Emie après sa partie. Emilie Alonso, sa partenaire en équipe à Valescure, lui avait envoyé un petit mot d’encouragement avant son départ qu’elle a aussi beaucoup apprécié.
Maxime Lauté va quitter le golf amateur sur une victoire et Emie Peronnin a réalisé le doublé Valgarde-Valcros.
Mais, bien involontairement, ce sont ses deux principales adversaires (la Toulousaine Célia Mansour et la Cannoise Mélanie Bellanger) qui lui ont permis de se soustraire à la pression en abandonnant de nombreux points sur l’aller. Il était temps car en novembre, il pourrait perdre son statut d’amateur en passant les cartes d’accès au Alps Tour, circuit sur lequel il rejoindrait son ami (et cadet aujourd’hui) Frédéric Abadie. La confiance (sauf au putting peut-être) dont il a fait preuve tout au long de la compétition lui sera également très utile aux championnats de France qui débutent mercredi à Grenoble.
Leader samedi après son exceptionnel 65, le grand Max n’a laissé aucune chance à Léo François et Yoann Robin, pas vraiment dans le coup (deux doubles chacun), et relégués à neuf et dix longueurs, en touchant seize greens en régulation et le 18 en un coup (comme Célia Mansour) ! « Mais j’ai pris quatre fois trois putts, regrettait-il. En revanche, j’ai vraiment bien tapé la balle. Tout le travail accompli avec mon coach, Julien Millet, commence à payer. Je suis très heureux car il y a longtemps que j’attendais cette victoire.« Champion de France des équipes 2 avec Ormesson, club dont il a porté les couleurs pendant trois saisons, Maxime Lauté va quitter le golf amateur sur un succès. En novembre, en Italie, il tentera le grand saut dans le monde des pros. Avec, on l’espère pour lui, autant de réussite.
